How much does it cost to start a community?
Nothing. Creating and hosting a community is free forever — unlimited members and spaces, no setup fee, and no monthly bill. You only ever pay a small percentage when your community actually earns money.
How does Tomeer make money then?
A small two-sided take rate on transactions: a seller-side cut plus a small buyer service fee that also covers card processing. Rates range from ~5% on member subscriptions up to ~13% on marketplace orders — each undercutting the incumbent on its own turf.
Are courses, bookings, and the marketplace really free to enable?
Yes. Every surface is free to turn on. Tomeer only earns its take rate when a course enrollment, booking, or order is actually paid — there is no separate subscription or add-on fee to unlock them.
Is card processing charged on top of the take rate?
No. Card processing (~2.9% + 30¢) is included inside the buyer service fee, so the all-in figures above are what you see — nothing is added afterward.
What are the optional add-ons?
A short list of cost-driven extras — large-group video, a custom domain with white-label, bulk broadcast email, and advanced analytics. They are never required to run or grow a community; they exist for teams that specifically need them.
Can I run more than one community?
